5 Years!

Yesterday marked our 5 Year wedding anniversary! It's hard to believe that this fall we will have been together for 9 years and married for 5 of those amazing years! We didn't really do anything special since with Bree being so small a babysitter would have been impossible. But after the older kids went to bed we lit the candle, picked up a late night snack and celebrated with some oranges and cream cake.

It also got me to thinking back about how life was 5 years ago.....

• I was only 31 and Bryan was 33!
• James was the baby... he was about 7 months old
• Athena was just over 2 years old
• Bryssa was "the bun in the oven"
• I was on maternity leave with James
• We were still living in the same house... but I think our living room was still pink (the original colour it was when we moved in)
• I had only been employed with Northern Lights for about 2 years

So, who would have thought that 5 years later that we would have added another 2 kids to our family, that we would be in the process of trying to buy this house, and that I would still be working in the same place at the same awesome job!

I guess all I can say is that the last 5 years have been wonderful.... the "ups" always seem to outnumber the "downs" and we're happy together.... now who would have thought this is where we would have ended up when Bryan asked me out for coffee?
