All week my poor kids have been suffering with a bad case of the "back to school blues"!Remington has been pretty good, no crying from him, but he has been giving me a really difficult time getting up in the morning, and he never looks too overly enthusiastic to be going out the door in the morning
Athena has been pretty good too, shes been missing her friends, but for the most part, she has been a slow as a snail to get ready in the morning. She's in no rush and if she had the choice, she would probably choose to stay home and play barbies.
But Bryssa and James have had it rough. Bryssa cried on the first day because she missed her Mommy, then we found out that James has been crying at school for his Dad. This morning James tried to fake sick so he didn't have to go.... then when that didn't work- he went into full blown tears and aguish "Please Daddy, don't make me go, I want to stay home". On the way to school (they missed the bus) he seemed okay, until the school came into view and then he started all over again....
It's so hard, part of me really wanted to let him stay home, it would be so easy. But at the same time, we can't just let him stay home whenever he wants..... sometimes life can be so unfair! Especially when you have to go back to school after 2 weeks Christmas break!
