Christmas 2007

Christmas 2007 was quiet and relaxed at the Cannon house. Christmas Eve we celebrated at my brother Dan's house... a dinner of Chinese food (for the adults) and McDonald's (for the kids). The kids also got to FINALLy eat the gingerbread house that we made the week earlier. They got to open presents from the aunts and uncles and spend time playing with their cousins Hannah, Caleb and Emily.

When we got home later that night, there was a package waiting for the kids from a little elf, who had left gifts for them earlier that day. So, they opened these gifts, which were a special pair of PJ's for each one of them to wear that night. Everyone looked so cute in their new sleepwear!

Christmas morning started around 6:30am.... the first ones awake were Mom and Dad with Selena, followed by Athena, then James, then Bryssa and finally (after waking him up) Remington. There was lots of tearing and ripping and wrapping paper everywhere! I had wanted the kids to slow down, but it didn't seem to happen! Selena on the other hand, really didn't want to open anything, she was more interested in looking at everyone else's gifts and scouting the floor for dropped chocolates!

This year the kids received:

Athena: dollhouse, hat and mittens, clothes, snow shovel, My Little Pony, Barbie, candy, plush cat, Fairytopia book

Bryssa: dollhouse, hat and mittens, clothes, snow shovel, My Little Pony, Barbie, candy, Dora teaset, Dora book

James: Thomas the Tank wooden playset, Thomas hat and mittens, snow shovel, HotWheels cars, candy, Thomas book, Thomas train ...

Selena: Little Tikes Shopping Cart, Peek-A-Blocks Musical Elephant, clothes, Robeez Boots, Book, mitts ...

Remington: 2 computer games, computer chair, clothes, candy, remote control helicopter, gift card to the Quinte Mall, book ...

Later that day, we had our usual family Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings......

It was a beautiful day, full of smiles, laughter and love. We even had snow for Christmas this year!
